About Calcora

Calcora publishes free, transparent US finance calculators. Every tool is built on data sourced directly from the IRS, state revenue authorities, the Social Security Administration, and the Federal Reserve.

Our approach

Most online calculators are black boxes — you input numbers, get a result, and have to trust it. We take the opposite approach: every calculator shows the bracket math step by step, cites the official source, and displays a "last verified" date so you can see exactly when the underlying data was checked.

What we cover

Today's live tools include US tax and income (paycheck by state, federal income tax, 1099 self-employment tax, capital gains, salary to hourly), loans (mortgage with PITI, auto loan), investing (compound interest, 401(k) with employer match), and a few general utilities (percentage, discount, age). We add calculators over time; the site and blog describe only what is actually published.

How Calcora is funded

The site is free for readers. We plan to support hosting and updates through responsible display advertising (for example Google AdSense) and, where clearly disclosed, occasional affiliate links that never change our calculator math.

Editorial standards

We do not accept payment for favorable calculator results, biased recommendations, or content placement. Affiliate relationships, where they exist, are disclosed clearly on the relevant pages and never affect the math or the conclusions of our calculators.

Not financial advice

Calcora provides educational tools and information. We are not a registered investment advisor, tax preparer, or law firm. For decisions affecting your finances, consult a licensed CPA, CFP, or attorney.
